When the Wells Don’t Run Dry

Welcome to BW Missions

In my first business, I exhausted myself by constantly turning over every stone to see if there were more opportunities to pursue or problems to solve. I spent so much time turning over every stone, double-checking, and triple-checking that there was nothing underneath. It can be hard to know when to listen to your intuition to keep turning over rocks versus trusting that there’s nothing left to find.

I’m an optimist, but I’ve nervously anticipated the moment at BW Missions when I waste time drilling wells and searching for opportunities just to come up empty. It hasn’t happened. In fact, the opposite has: Every well we’ve drilled has been full. When we return to double-check that there’s nothing left, it’s full once again. What do I mean?

BW Missions started off as a company to help build platforms and communities for entrepreneurs, thought leaders, and successful people navigating their Act II. When we hit our stride doing this, we started to think about becoming a company that provided more than just social media services.

We expanded into the Pathfinding business and it thrived. So we added a branding division. That boomed, too. Next, we built an audio and video component. Now we’re in the early stages of establishing new business divisions to serve thought leaders every step of their journey.

The journey of learning and exploring isn’t over. It never will be. There will always be more to discover. The further we go, the more we realize how much more we need to drill.

It can be hard to understand what precisely a thought leader is when everyone seems to be calling themselves one. To better understand what a thought leader is, you have to know what a thought leader isn’t.

In the article, I break down what distinguishes a thought leader from a run-of-the-mill influencer. Read here!
